Patricia Ann Martone and Barbara Ann
Rosen were married yesterday at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Toronto. The Rev.
Gordon H. Kushner officiated.
Ms. Martone, 59, is a partner in the Boston law firm of Ropes & Gray; she works
in the Manhattan office. She is also an adjunct professor of patent law at
New York University, from which she received her undergraduate and law degrees.
She also holds a master’s degree in theoretical chemistry from Johns Hopkins.
She is the daughter of the late Rita D. Martone and the late David A. Martone,
who lived in Port Richmond, Staten Island. Her father was a supervisor of
the Staten Island Ferry Terminal.
Dr. Rosen, 62, is a retired psychotherapist who had her own practice in
Manhattan. She is a member of the board of Sage, a provider in Manhattan
of services and advocacy for older lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender
people. She graduated from Mount Holyoke and received a doctorate in
school psychology from Rutgers.
She is the daughter of the late Ethel R. Rosen and the late Joseph Rosen, who
lived in Teaneck, N.J., and is the stepdaughter of Rose Tieger Rosen of Fort
Lee, N.J. Dr. Rosen’s father was the chairman of the science department at
Teaneck High School. Her mother taught second grade at No. 1 School, a
public elementary school in West New York, N.J.
