A Message From Alicia and Robert Menendez

Dear Friends:

Election Day 2006 is tomorrow and we are more excited than ever to be helping elect a very special man to the United States Senate – our dad, Bob Menendez. Not only are we proud to call him our father, but we are proud to call him our United States Senator.

As young professionals, we understand how our generation has been uniquely affected by the misguided policies of the Bush Administration and Republican Leadership in Congress. Cutting taxes for the rich; destroying the social security program, which we have already invested heavily in; exporting good paying jobs overseas; and, most importantly, sending our brothers and sisters, friends and classmates, to a war which was built on lies. These are not the actions we want our elected officials to take. We need to elect representatives, like our dad, who will stand up to Bush and the Republicans on their misguided principles and values.

We also understand the integral role that Democrats 2000 has played in campaigns for the past 15 years. We are proud to call ourselves members and were grateful when you invited our father to join with you earlier this year for a night of bowling in East Brunswick.

In the closing hours of this campaign, every voter that you talk to will make a difference in whether or not our father gets to stay in Washington fighting for us. This race is not over until the polls at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, and until then we have so many opportunities to make a difference and make sure that the voices of our generation our heard.

We hope that in addition to voting for our father you will consider joining us we go door-to-door, make phone calls, and hold rallies to make sure that every voter in New Jersey gets to know our Senator Bob Menendez the way we do.

We thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you on the campaign trail!

Sincerely,Alicia and Robert Menendez
