LAMPETER, Pa. Dec.9 -- A high school newspaper in Lancaster County was pulled by school administrators because of an advertisement by a gay and lesbian support group.

The Limelight, Lampeter-Strasburg High School's paper, was held for two weeks before being distributed without the ad.

Administrators say they recalled 1,200 copies of the paper because of an advertisement by the group Common Roads.

The small ad informed students of weekly meetings of an adult-supervised support group for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered youths.

The Limelight was reprinted without the ad and distributed last week.

The student editor said it's a case of discrimination and he's collecting signatures on a protest petition he plans to present to the school board.
