Harrison and Campbell Married in Canada
John Crowell Campbell, GayPASG, September 12, 2004
Richard and I have both been working at full speed, and a couple weeks ago he mentioned one evening that we should just take a week off around Labor Day and maybe go to Canada.
I spoke up and said it sounded like an excellent idea, and that we could get married while there, so in a few days we had plans made to drive up Sunday,
September 5th and return Friday the 11th.
We decided to drive as we had not driven through that part of the country, and we wanted to stop by Niagara Falls for a night on the way home.
It was a beautiful drive, and we did it in under eight hours, and the scenery was beautiful.
We were delighted to find Toronto such a beautiful city and Canada far more civil than we had expected.
For an example we saw more people in wheel chairs than we have ever seen before.
The subways were clean and ran often. People were less frantic and auto traffic was more considerate of pedestrians than we see at home.
