Austin, TX -- Police in Austin, Texas Tuesday charged three men and a teen-age boy for sexually assaulting and robbing a local gay man.

The victim left Oilcan Harry's, an Austin gay bar, with one of the men on July 17, on the way out the man asked if he could bring his friends.

The group returned to the victim's home in East Austin where the attack occurred.  Police say the four men drugged, tied-up, beat, cut, then sexually assaulted the victim.  When it was over they threatened to kill him if he spoke a word about the violence.

The attack sent shockwaves through Austin's close knit gay community, particularly since the attackers went to a gay bar to find a victim.

"The troubling thing for me is that they went into a space for gays and lesbians and posed as gays and lesbians.  So it was obviously well thought out and meticulously planned," Randal Ellis, the executive director of the Lesbian/Gay Rights Lobby of Texas said on the weekend as he handed out a police drawing of one of the suspects.

Shawn Regan, 21, Donald Bockman, 24, and Darren Gay, 21, all face charges of aggravated sexual assault and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.  Their bond was set at $200,000.  A 16-year-old boy faces the same charges.  He is being held without bond.
