THIS WAS AN IMPORTANT DAY IN THE HISTORY OF GAY RIGHTS. AS I WAS TURNING OFF OF
HIGHWAY ONE INTO TRENTON, THE RADIO ANNOUNCED THAT THE MASSACHUSETTS SUPREME
JUDICIAL COURT HAD RULED THAT SAME-SEX MARRIAGE IS LEGAL.
The
court gave the Legislature six months to comply with its decision and if they
had not done so in the 180 days, licenses must be granted to same-sex couples!
