Frank is not only fighting for the rights of our community, he is guaranteeing the full rights of all New Jersey citizens to receive the full benefits of New Jersey’s Law Against Discrimination (LAD). When Director Vespa-Papaleo joined the Division the amendment to the LAD, which includes sexual orientation, still had not been included in the School Code but it became evident that the LAD was finally going to be implemented and much progress has been made. However, we need the full support of the community before the capacity of the NEW DCR can be realized.  This will require the members of the community and their supporters to be willing to start reporting incidents of discrimination and be willing to follow up so that adequate charges can be filed – and you can not do this from the closet.
