Yes, South Jersey NOW, we agree with you, the percentage of women in the US Senate and House is shameful and a reflection on all of us.  But we also note that the percentage of women in the New Jersey Assembly and Senate is equally as disheartening. Can we all agree that it is time for us to be active not only for voter registration and trips to Washington?

Sexual orientation is an important part of who a person is and there is no justification for discrimination against anyone on the basis of who they are.

The NJ Law Against Discrimination and the Harassment and Bullying Law should be fully implemented in the school systems so that our schools are safe for children and teachers.

Know that we love our gay families too, and we will accept nothing less than the full benefits of civil marriage for them.
